The Cake Alchemist You Can Trust
Faye's journey with food began in the warmth of her mother’s kitchen, where she learned the magic of mixing ingredients and creating something extraordinary from scratch. From a young age, Faye's passion for cooking was clear, culminating in her food technology GCSE project where she created an innovative sweet and savoury pizza that turned heads (and some stomachs).
Her love for science and nature led her to university, where she pursued a degree in Biological Sciences. There, Faye's fascination with science communication blossomed, guiding her through the challenges of completing a PhD studying wildlife in Cardiff Bay.
Despite a successful career in science communication, including a move to Glasgow and five years at the BBC’s Natural History Unit in Bristol, baking remained Faye's true passion. As she crafted celebration cakes for friends and family, and with her own small people who needed cakes for those all important birthday bashes, Faye seized the opportunity to fully immerse herself in the art of baking. Her kitchen became a laboratory of creativity, where she conjured up delightful wonders for her loved ones, earning rave reviews and a growing reputation for her unique creations.
A relocation to Stroud marked a new chapter for Faye. The landscapes and stories reawakened her love for "kitchen witchery" - a blend of culinary skill and magical artistry. With a heart full of passion, Faye is now ready to take her cake creations to the next level, bringing her love of baking and alternative culture together.
Faye’s deep-rooted joy in cooking for others ensures that every cake she creates is not just a treat, but a piece of edible art infused with love, creativity, and a touch of magic.

People have often said Faye’s maternal ancestors had a touch of witchcraft about them. Whether it was predictions that came true, finishing each others sentences or telepathically-sent messages, there’s always been a hint of magic in the family. Having always studied and worked in the natural environment, since moving to Stroud Faye has reconnected to the natural world and uses this connection to infuse every creation with a touch of magic.

In her kitchen, Faye blends traditional baking skills with her unique magical touch.
